Do I need a plumber or a restoration pro?

Fixing the leak and drying the damage are different jobs.

A plumber addresses the source

A plumber typically repairs a burst pipe, fixture, or plumbing leak. For roof leaks, you may need a roofer. Repairing the source does not necessarily dry the affected structure.

Restoration addresses the damage

A restoration provider can assess moisture, extract water, and dry affected building materials. When both the source and the damage need attention, more than one professional may be needed.

Sewage needs specialist handling

Avoid contact with sewage and contaminated water. Keep the area isolated and tell any provider about suspected contamination before they arrive.
